Grand Master
Daniel J.Klenda
8th Dan

A-West Karate and Fitness is privately
owned & operated by Grand Master Klenda.

He has been teaching, Tae Kwon Do in the
Denver metro area since 1978 & proudly
serving the Arvada area Since 1991

Master Sell
5th Dan

Master Sell has been with A-West Karate then called
Klenda Karate Academy, since 1993.

In 2000, Master Sell took a leave of absents to join the US Navy.
After serving for 5 years, 6 months in Japan and aboard the USS Carl Vision,
he returned home and jumped right back into instructing.

Master Sell earned his 5th degree Black Belt in July 2008,
giving him the "Master" status he now holds.

Mr. Winter
3rd Dan

Mr. Winter has been active in Tea Kwon Do in the
Denver area since 1972, achieving his
1st degree black belt in 1974, 2nd in 1981, 3rd in 1984.
He has been associated with Grand Master Klenda since 1978
He is a proud graduate of Metro State College and
is a senior economist with the
Colorado Dept. of Labor and Employment.

Mr. Gafari
4th Dan

Mr. Gafari started with A~West Karate
in 1997 when he was 7 years old.
Karate has extremely helped enhanced his athletic attributes, for he is a very athletic person.
He also is involved with high school
soccer, coaching soccer and hockey.

Mr. Juneau
3rd Dan

Mr Juneau joined A~West Karate in 2004
at the age of 9. He tested in Dec 2010
for his 3rd Dan.Tae Kwon Do has helped Quentin to be more focused and attentive, it has helped with his coordination skills, it has taught him to be responsible.

At the age of 12, Quentin had started his own lawn care service in his neighborhood and doing other odd jobs to help his neighbors.

Quentin attends A-West High School

Ms Akey
Testing in June 2011 for her 1st Dan

She has been a student of A~West Karate since 2008.
She enjoys teaching at the studio and also after school programs
for schools in the Arvada area

She is an assistant manager for the studio

Guest Instructors

"Master Todd is
a 5th degree Black Belt.
He began his martial arts training under Grand
Master Klenda in 1992 and was an active student and instructor until he retired and moved to the
snow-free southern Texas hill country in 2007.
Master Todd maintains close ties with the school, handling student invoicing and notices as needed by the studio.
When in Colorado, Master Todd stops in
as our guest instructor."
